A male student reported that at approximately 11:40 p.m. Thursday night, he was confronted by three males wearing dark clothing, skeleton masks and gloves along the path between the Computing Center and Circle Road.

A female student reported to police that on Thursday morning a man attempted to rob her while she and her friend were walking along Route 25A near the Stony Brook University train station.

A student was the victim of an attempted robbery on Sept. 6, in Roosevelt Quad's Wagner College. He was not seriously injured.

After receiving a call at 1:25 p.m., University Police and Suffolk County Police responded to reports of an alleged armed perpetrator. A little over two hours later, an "All Clear" text message was sent to members of the Stony Brook community.

Assistant Chief of the University Police Douglas Little confirmed an alleged armed robbery that occurred last night in Roth Quad.

The police responded to a call by a young man around 9:15 p.m., claiming he was robbed. The man said he was approached by two men, one black and one white. The two demanded property, such as his cell phone and wallet. One man was reportedly armed with a four-inch gravity knife.

Car vandalism has been taking its toll on people parking in Kelly Quad
throughout most of September and early October, according to police
records. The records show that between Sept. 8 and Oct. 5, there were at least 10 different incidents where cars were broken into, windows were smashed, and personal property was stolen from the small parking lot that sits close to the LIRR station.

Tuts Bar and Grill
Tuts Bar and Grill, a watering hole on 25A near Stony Brook University, was cited for underage sale of alcohol to a minor on Nov. 8, according to a press release issued by the Suffolk County Police Department. This was the first violation for the new business.

Suffolk County police have made an arrest in connection with the August 23 fire at Stony Brook University. The fire damaged one of the Chapin apartments on Health Science Drive. The suspect is a 13-year-old child of a resident and could not be identified by police because he is a minor.

Two female students have reported that they were sexually assaulted by two men they were visiting in a residence hall. Only one of the perpetrators was a student and was immediately suspended, according to Deputy Chief of Police Doug Little.
Stony Brook police said one of the victims of an armed robbery in Kelly Quad last semester was arrested by county authorities and accused of complicity in the incident. The robbery was apparently "something that was orchestrated by one of the alleged victims," according to Suzanne Benedetto, commanding detective of the University Police.
Four male students at Stony Brook University were allegedly robbed at gunpoint Monday night at a dorm room in Kelly Quad, police said.  

An email letter sent out by Assistant Chief Doug Little of the University Police and V.P. for Student Affairs Peter Baigent said, "the men displayed a knife and what appeared to be a handgun and stole cash, a wallet and several other items.
