A week after a hard fought overtime loss at UTEP, Stony Brook suffered their second loss of the season Saturday night at Buffalo, 35-7.

Junior Miguel Maysonet and senior Brock Jackolski combined for 184 rushing yards. The Seawolves have out run their opponents 480 yards to only 226 yards.

Back-up junior quarterback Kyle Essington connected with junior Jordan Gush for a 16-yard touchdown for Stony Brook’s lone score.

Buffalo’s Branden Oliver gained 126 yards on 15 carries and three touchdowns on runs of 22, 49 and 43 yards against the Seawolves’ defense.

Buffalo never trailed and denied the Seawolves a chance at earning a victory against a lower-division FBS football program.

Stony Brook begins a four game home stand starting next Saturday against Brown University.
