Last week, the Seawolves played their final non-conference game of the season, rushing for a school record of 404 yards in their 55-6 win against St. Anselm.

The rushing attack was led by JeVahn Cruz, who rushed for a team high 169 yards and two touchdowns on only 10 carries.

Kyle Essington continues to impress the Seawolves faithful, passing for 275 yards through the air and three touchdown passes with an 80 percent completion percentage.

Stony Brook returns to Big South play this week against the Virginia Military Institute at Foster Stadium in Lexington, VA.

The VMI Keydets are currently 1-5 overall and 1-1 in The Big South Conference. The Keydets are led by redshirt senior running back Chaz Jones, who has rushed for 438 yards and six touchdowns this season.

VMI won their lone game of the season 21-7 last weekend against Big South rival Charleston Southern.

The Seawolves are undefeated in the all-time series against the Keydets, 3-0, winning last season’s game by a score of 27-9 at Kenneth P. LaValle stadium.
