In the evening of Sept. 15th, three male students were assaulted by five Asian males inside a dorm room in West Apartments Building G.
The Asian males knew one of the students in the dorm room, and they had a disagreement about smoking. The Asian men then attacked the students, destroyed property and stole a cell phone. One male was transported to the University Hospital emergency room by Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
The case is pending an investigation, according to University Police.

Golf Cart and Auto Accident
On the evening of September 18th, a vehicle stopped at a stop sign on Circle Road near Marburger Drive. A Stony Brook University golf cart turned on Circle Rd and hit that vehicle. The driver of the golf cart, a female student, was transported to the University Hospital emergency room by Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She was also issued a summons by University Police for not having a driver’s license.

Disturbance in President’s Office
In the morning of Sept. 29th, a male student walked into the university president’s office and demanded to speak to College President Shirley Strum Kenny without an appointment. University Police were called, they spoke to him, and he left.
"The same student was creating a ruckus in the engineering area,” said Doug Little, deputy chief of University Police. “[University Police arrived again] and took him to the University Hospital.”
