Stony Brook University workers discovered dozens of dead fish in Roth Pond on March 4. The cause of death is pending investigation by university officials. According to a university worker cleaning out the pond, the fish were rumored to have frozen to death within the last week. Many students reported a foul odor in the quad on Thursday morning before the fish were discovered.
