Suspicious Noises On Campus
There was a report of gunshots and/or fireworks in the vicinity of Roosevelt Quad and the West Apartments in the late evening of April 17th. When University Police arrived in the area, it was verified to be just fireworks.

Campus Fired Up
There were several small unrelated fires on campus. In the afternoon of April 17th, mulch was on fire outside Keller College. In the late evening of April 19th, a fire was caused by a male tossing paper into a barbecue pit in Langmuir College. In the morning of April 20th, there was a cooking related fire in the basement of Irving College. In the late evening of April 26th, there was a electrical fire in the mechanical room of Baruch College. All those fires were extinguished.

Projector Lost and Found
A LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projector was missing from the audio visual storage room in the SAC. (This projector is lent out to campus organizations by the Facilities Reservation Center, whose office is in 220 of the SAC. It displays a computer monitor onto a wall screen.) Howard Gunston, assistant director for facilities operation, checked the records and discovered it was lent out to a female student, who was a member of a campus organization.
“We kept knocking on her door to get back that projector, but she never responded,” he said. “We finally had to contact the campus police to get it back. They got the projector back to us right away [on the evening of April 20th.]”
It turns out that the female student, initially by mistake, returned the projector to the Undergraduate Student Government Audio Visual Department instead of the Facilities Reservation Center.

More Power Outages Hit Campus
In the evening of April 26th, there was a campus-wide power outage; power was returned quickly. In the evening of April 27th, there was another campus-wide power outage; it lasted for two and one-half hours. Before this, the last power campus-wide outage occurred in the early morning of April 15th; it lasted for ten minutes.

Auto Accident Injury
There was motor vehicle accident in the morning of April 26th in the Fine Arts Loops. A male was injured and transported by the Stony Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps to the University Hospital.

Arrest For Throwing Items From Balconies
There was a report of students throwing things off of Baruch College balconies in the evening of April 26th. University Police arrived and arrested one those students for disorderly conduct.

Elevators Broke Down On Campus
Several elevators broke down on campus. In Eisenhower College, a female was stuck in a stopped elevator in the late evening of April 26th; she was released before University Police arrived on the scene. In the late evening of April 26th in the Health Science Center, elevator #6 broke down. In the morning of April 27th in the Health Science Center, elevator #11 in the “B” Core area broke down.

Shoplifting Attempt In Kelly Cafe
One male was allegedly shoplifting in the Kelly Cafe in the evening of April 27th. He fled when approached by employees. All the cafe items were recovered at the scene when University Police arrived.
