Attempted Robbery in Roosevelt Quad
|
By Rohma Abbas A student was the victim of an attempted robbery on Sept. 6, in Roosevelt Quad's Wagner College. He was not seriously injured. Three men approached the student on one of the lower floors of Wagner College last Saturday evening, according to interim Police Chief Doug Little. According to Little's account of the incident, the student was pushed up against a wall so he couldn't see and asked if he had any money. After the student replied "no," he was struck in the face. "He felt something hit his face," said the interim chief. "He doesn't know whether it was an object or an open hand. "Obviously he was taken by surprise by the whole thing but he wasn't injured." An e-mail sent out by Campus Residences two days after the incident said that "the three individuals fled in the direction of Kelly Café." Little urges students to contact the University Police or Crime Stoppers with any information. |
