Assistant Chief of the University Police Douglas Little confirmed an alleged armed robbery that occurred last night in Roth Quad.

The police responded to a call by a young man around 9:15 p.m., claiming he was robbed. The man said he was approached by two men, one black and one white. The two demanded property, such as his cell phone and wallet. One man was reportedly armed with a four-inch gravity knife.

The victim was not cut, but was hit and smacked, according to police. He was treated at the scene.

Suffolk County Police K-9 units and a helicopter were at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

So I am just wondering where the rest of this article is...I think there should be more, right? And what is the deal with the "alleged" thing? I'm pretty sure that the attack "actually" happened. At least News 12, ABC 7, Newsday, and the police have all confirmed it...and yet alleged? You even say it in the article..."confirmed..." If something is confirmed that would seem to indicate it is no longer "alleged" but rather fact. Just FYI.

Confirmed by the victim to the cops, the cops to ABC 7 and the other organizations who put out half-truths.

If the victim talks to us, it would still be "Dude says he was mugged" not "Dude Mugged"

That's just how we roll. Call it indecisive, but things are not always as they seem.

I guess reaching 10,000 students within the next four years is a must!

Little confirmed something that had been alleged. Including this in the article does not make it incorrect.
