an interdisciplinary lecture series on Global Warming

Professor Galen McKinley (University of Madison Winsconsin) will give a lecture titled: The oceans in the climate system

"The oceans are central players in the distribution of heat and carbon
in the climate system, and are thus crucial to understanding current
and predicting future climate change. I will discuss the ocean's role
in the climate system and its influence on carbon partitioning on
decadal to centennial timescale. Current predictions, uncertainties
and ongoing research efforts will be reviewed."

Coffee, tea and cookies will be served.
