I found this by accident, I must have mashed my mouse or something. If you use the sidescroller on your mouse or the left/right arrow keys on your keyboard, you can actually move backwards and forwards through Facebook photo albums very easily. |

Imagine if, in your Facebook news feed, you saw new assignments posted from your professors or an announcement that your class is canceled. Coursefeed has done exactly that, integrating your academic stuff from Blackboard into your Facebook social activity. |

I realize the Independent has been inconsistent in timeliness. I'll try to explain why. |

Let me start with a bit of a controversial statement: Increasing gas prices are not a problem. Sure, we're going broke at the pump; but our businesses are the real problem. Businesses that factor fuel in as a cost of production are passing those costs down to the consumer. |

Both time and space are pockmarked with deep, dark holes. Just like you can get lost in a place-- in an unfamiliar neighborhood or a dark forest-- you can get lost in time. Being lost means you're somewhere you don't want to be on the way to somewhere you do want to be. This might seem tricky, given that time doesn't really have any twists or turns, but we must not be fooled by that appearance of stability. |

Memcached is a RAM variable cache for websites and virtually anything else. It can take slow queries away from MySQL and other physical databases so that sites can handle more load easily. It was originally developed by the makers of Livejournal but it's used on other popular sites like Facebook and Youtube, and now my Facebook app Pro Racer. |

60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley interviews Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last week, preceding this week's visit to New York and a controversial visit to Columbia University. In the transcript, Ahmadinejad clearly avoids making any direct statement about Iranian support to Iraqi insurgents. |

So, it begins. Word 2007 comes with a new file format, open and XML based. (or so they say.) We got one the other day, and nobody knew what to do with it. So for future reference, you can actually download a compatibility pack from Microsoft for previous versions of Word. |

So it was like any other day. I checked the news wires and then Google News, my e-mail, and of course that foray into miscellanea. On Google there's a headline about a student arrest. "Score," I thought. A video. I click into the Post article. |
