The Hartford Hawks, fueled by their home crowd, came out on top at Chase Family Arena against the Albany Great Danes, 48-43.
Defense and turnovers were the key factors of this quarterfinal matchup with a total of 37 turnovers and poor shooting performances by both Hartford (39%) and Albany (28%).

Ruthanne Doherty led the Hawks with a double-double (11 points and 12 rebounds). Daphne Elliott added 11 points (8-of-9 at the foul line) and three steals in this scoring-deprived game.
Cassandra Callaway put up 17 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in the Great Dane’s losing effort. Albany’s advantage under the boards (47 rebounds, 23 offensive) didn’t help them leave Hartford with a victory (only eight second chance points).
